Both Don Quixote and D’Artagnan fight against evil, for justice, in defense of the weak … This is only in novels, in life knights can only be children – with faith, naivety and enthusiasm. These fairytale characters are defenseless against reality.
On the street in a metropolitan residential complex, a family bustles around their new car – “Wartburg” and sets off on the first outing. Nine-year-old Vanyo chatted happily, but his father scolded him.

The mother sets the table outdoors and at that moment the car starts on the slope. Their fear that the little one is inside passes – the naughty man jumps out of the bushes.
Vanyo often plays among the blocks with wooden swords and cardboard knight’s armor and gradually learns about the lives of adults. His teacher comes to his father, who is the head of a ministry, with a fair request, and he sends her away. The boy is embarrassed – why do adults say one thing and do another?He feels more and more lonely and mentally talks to the only person he trusts – Uncle George. Only with him Vanyo feels happy.

The two visit a printing house, rehearsals in the theater, watch a movie. Uncle Georgi does not interrupt Vanyo’s words and questions, he takes him seriously.
And when he returns home, the boy presses the crystal fragment given to him by his uncle to show it as a miracle. How will this little knight enter life without protective armor against rudeness and selfishness?
