Online: Bulgarian history, cinema, theater – the Stoyanovich family

On 21.10.2021 we have the pleasure to present to you the online event “Bulgarian history, cinema, theater – the Stoyanovich family”.

 

The rich history of the Stojanovic family will be told by our well-known Dimitar (Dimi) Stoyanovich – historian, TV presenter and screenwriter of many feature and documentary films.

 

Bright figures in the cultural and social life of Bulgaria can be found in the Stoyanovich family since the Renaissance in the person of Ivan Stoyanovich – Ajeleto, revolutionary, politician, journalist, head of Bulgarian communications after the Liberation and public figure.  His grandson is the famous Bulgarian film critic, journalist and writer – Ivan Stoyanovich, whose daughter is the beloved theater and film actress Ani Bakalova – mother of Dimi and Peter.

 

From his great-grandfather Ivan, through his grandfather and father, and to him now, Dimi will tell about the history of his family, rich in cultural and social figures, and about the difficulties and opportunities that opened up to generations in different  political circumstances from the liberation period to the present day.
