Bulgarian Musician Living in London with a prestigious Music Award!
The Concert Duo Devorina Gamalova (viola and violin) and Krassimir Taskov (piano) was awarded with a Crystal Lyre Award in the Chamber Ensembles category at the Annual Awards Ceremony given by the Union OF BULGARIAN MUSICIANS AND DANCERS, Bulgaria.
The award is for their concert performance Eight strings and Piano within the Sofia Music Weeks Festival.
Devorina Gamalova is a virtuoso violin player who lives in the UK for the last 20 years. She puts all her talent and efforts for spreading the Bulgarian culture around the United Kingdom . Within the time spent in the UK, she has been the main initiator and participant in many charity performances, concerts, workshops and seminars.
The Crystal Lyre Awards are given for outstanding achievements in the area of music and dance art in 15 categories among which are classic music, performers, jazz and pop music, folklore, orchestras, etc.
The award for Devorina Gamalova is in a very strong competitive category. Among the nominated in it are the world-famous Bulgarian soprano Alexandrina Pendachanska, the pianist Ludmil Angelov and the flutist Mila Pavlova.
