More about Brothers Wladigeroff:
Alexander Wladigeroff – trumpet, fluegelhorn
Konstantin Wladigeroff – piano, clarinet
Alexander and Konstantin were born in Sofia, into the family of the eminent choir-master, conductor and composer Aleksander P. Wladigeroff (1933-1993) and his wife the actress Velichka Chobanova -Wladigerova.
Their first steps in music were under the direct leadership of their father and under the influence of the artistic spirit of the Wladigerov home.
Both of them graduated the National School of Music Lubomir Pipkov, then the National Academy of Music Pancho Wledigeroff in Sofia, as well as The University of Music and Stage Art in Vienna. For more than ten years, they have lived and worked in Vienna, laying down their own professional path.Trio Wladigeroff is formed by the love of playing together.
The objective of their projects is to present the tradition in music in the Wladigeroff family and its development throughout three generations.
Together with the classic works written by their genius grandfather, professor Pancho Wladigeroff (1899-1978), their playlist includes compositions from his Berlin period , which are considered to be some of the first Jazz works in Bulgarian music .The trio use the composers original arrangements. If there are no such arrangements to be found, they use transcriptions from their father, Alexander P. Wladigeroff, or even such made by themselves.
As for the similarities and the differences between the Master and his grandchildren, let the audience decide!
There is one thing that you may be sure of the natural inspiration from the wealth of Bulgarian folklore.
Brothers Wladigeroff has performed successfully in Vienna, Budapest, Rome, Sofia, Plovdiv, Lom, Berlin, Montreal, Toronto, Moscow, Luxemburg, Vianden and Brussels.
