We present you a film-portrait about the legendary actor, the audience’s favourite – Georgi Parcalev. His fate is intertwined with the history of the Satirical Theater and that of Bulgarian cinema. During socialism, however, different sexual orientations were enough for an artist to be deprived of official awards and public recognition.

 

Valentina Fidanova-Kolarova graduated in directing at the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts. Doctor of Film Studies, Film Art and Television, Associate Professor at NATFA. She has directed numerous documentaries and feature films and short stories, as well as theatrical performances. She is the author of four books and one play and is a member of SBFD, SBZ, SBU, Academica 21 and the Association of Film and Television Directors.
