The Bulgarian cultural institute London has the pleasure to invite you to the theatre performance of the play “Melody” on the 8-th of February 2020 at 7pm. at Gallery Sofia.
“Melody” is a fairy story about love – for those who are permanently with you in the storms and joyfulness of the life and for love to the music! The play Melody is charming the spectators with its subtle British humour and at the same time is leading them into the magical world of love where the both actors are revealing their artistic potential. The third main actor in the play is the music with its whole variety of styles. When “she” and “he” can’t understand each other with words, the music is the one to help them. The actors are singing and dancing. The performance is a real pleasure for the spectators and is reminding the famous film A Star is born but in Melody he and she are remaining together. The performance is being played in Bulgaria at the New Theatre at the National Palace of culture twice per month.
The text of the play is by the Irish playwright Deirdre Kinahan, the author of the plays Wild sky and Halcyon Days. The producer, translator of the text and the music of the play is Clara Armandova who is the holder of the prestigious Award for the best producer at the International theatre festival in Edinburg (1994). She is the producer of 45 performances in UK and 3 in the USA. With the participation of the Bulgarian actors Nikola Mutafov (known from the TV serial Stolen life) and Diana Kostova (know from the music romantic film Revolution X). The author of the scenography is Venelin Shurelov who is the holder of the Askeer Award.
The play “Melody” is in Bulgarian language, with English subtitles.
