75 year-old Pavi is a colourful person, who lives in a clay house in the forest without electricity and running water. He constantly reads under the candlelight and is always interested in what happens around the world. Amidst his little kingdom of newspaper cuttings, transformed into a collage, Pavi dreams of getting some of his short stories published and thus being recognized as a writer.
Ana Kitanova was born in Sofia in 1988. She graduated in Film and TV directing from National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, in 2013. During her study, Ana took part in various international workshops and training programs among which Summer Media Studio (Lithuania), School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (Turkey), Sarajevo Talant Campus (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Ana works as director, assistant director and scriptwriter. She was twice awarded The Best Director Prize by The Lions International Short Film Competition for her shorts The Pillow (2010) and The Silence (2011). Ana also directed the short documentaries On Wheels (2009), Ajabez (2009), Maria (2010) and the short fiction Breakfasters (2010). Her short film Lighthouse woman (2014) participated the competition programs of Avvantura Film Festival, Zadar, Croatia (2014), Drama International Film Festival, Drama, Greece (2014), Golden Rose, Varna, Bulgaria (2014), Tofifest, Torun, Poland (2014), Bulgarian Film Academy Awards (2015) and also was part of the Balkan Panorama of Drama ISFF, Drama, Greece (2015).
