Festive Concert and Awards Ceremony

On the 18th of June, the Bulgarian Cultural Institute London and the embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria awarded cultural figures, contributed to the preservation and popularization of Bulgarian culture, spirituality and traditions in the UK. The nominations for the awards came from the Bulgarian cultural institute London and the certificates themselves were prepared and approved by the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture and the State Agency for Bulgarians Abroad.

The certificates of the Ministry of Culture were awarded to:
1. Dobrinka Tabakova, composer and Grammy nominee for 2013.
2. Devorina Gamalova, musician, teacher and founder of the charity organization “Blagorodna Badeva”.
3. Dessislava Stefanova, vocalist and founder of the London Bulgarian Choir.

The awarded by the State Agency for Bulgarians Abroad were:

1. Milena Vezenkova, director of Bulgarian schools in the UK.
2. Marina Ivanova, founder of the organization for the preservation and popularization of Bulgarian folklore, culture, language and traditions.
