Bulgarian artist Silvia Georgieva – Selvida was chosen to participate in the competition “Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year”.

We are proud to announce that а painting by the talented young Bulgarian artist Silviya Georgieva – Selvida, whose painting “Quiet place” during the first lockdown was included in a peace in The Washington Post,now we are very happy to announce that she was chosen to participate in the TV show competition  “Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year”. Selvida is one of the 36 artists from the world who will be a part of the competition with her painting  “Brooklyn Bridge- New York” / mixed technique canvas collage in original 90/90 cm/.

Especially for us, the artist shares:

After being selected by the prestigious jury consisting of Kathleen Soriano, Tai-Shan Schierenberg and Kate Bryan, we were divided into 6 groups of 6 artists and put in different secret locations around the UK for the filming of the show.

Fortunately, I was put in London with a cityscape. It was an amazing experience filled with emotions of all kinds. We only had 4 hours to complete the painting, which was one of the biggest challenges. “
