BIOGRAPHY

Ina Prodanova was born in 1984 in Ruse, along the Danube, Bulgaria. From an early age, growing the impulse towards beauty and art, she entered the National School of Arts in Ruse, where she took her first steps and graduated. She has since then found a passion for contrast and collage art.

Since 2009, she also fulfilled her passion for graphic design, earning a Master’s degree in Audio-visual Communication at the New Bulgarian University. Advertising and the media became thenceforth a part of her artistic path, which she has followed, working in small and big advertising agencies in Sofia.

When she settled in England, Ina Prodanova decided to express again her true nature and thus began to build new visions and to create. Her paintings were sold online around the world, including in France, the USA and Italy. She mainly created small and big artworks, painted in a way combining both figurative and decorative styles by using acrylic, spray and often collage technique. Her interest for human figure and the elegance of thrown shadows often distorts the anatomy in a way that makes her artworks outstanding, and still, manages to keep silhouettes in their structure integrity. In her latest paintings, the artist deals with the beauty and humility of Bulgarian women, depicting them as static, almost flat figures, with the unconditional use of black and white contrast. She focuses on Bulgarian roses, making her works surreal, even poster-like.

Irena Sirakova is a psychology graduate from the University of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria, and works as integrative therapist in Birmingham, UK. She has written poems since 2011. In addition to lyric poetry, she also writes in prose: brief reflections, histories, short stories, precepts, and fairy tales with a moral. She also likes drawing and dancing, which she combines for different projects. She has written two books of poems Dance of love and With a taste of gentleness. She also plans to publish a third one, as well as a book for children with subject and illustrations by her seven-year-old son.

Her books of poems Dance of love includes 36 poems that are split into 3 conceptual sections. The book was a big success when it was first introduced in the premises of the House of Culture Boris Hristovin Plovdiv, Bulgaria. From that time till now, it has been presented in the following cities: Sofia, Blagoevgrad, Veliko Tarnovo, London and the village of Dolno Osenovo, at the invitation of the local library. Beside that, the book of poems was already presented on May 26th in Oxford at a concerto for violin, cello and piano, held on May 24th on the occasion of the Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture, and Slavonic Literature.
