Atanas Yanchev
Biography

Born in Pleven in Bulgaria in 1997, Atanas Yanchev began learning the piano aged four. He was invited to begin studies with Mihail Slavov at the ‘Lyubomir Pipkov’ Music School in Sofia at just nine years of age.
Atanas has gone on to win prizes in numerous international piano competitions including winning the first prize at the National Competition for Music Schools in Sofia five times since 2004; the Serbian International Competition for Young Pianists (2010); the International Competition ‘Citta di Barlletta’(2010); the Macedonian International Young Pianists Competition (2011); the Franz Schubert International Competition in Ruse (2011); the ‘Hopes, Talents, Masters’ Competition in Albena (2012) and most recently the 7th International ‘Classical and Contemporary Music’ Competition (2012).
Since 2010 Atanas has been building a busy international solo career, giving recitals at concert venues across Europe. These include performances in Cologne, Bengel, and Trier in Germany; Vienna and Sofia. In 2012 a performance with the Pioneer Symphony Orchestra was broadcast on Bulgarian National Radio. Atanas was the pianist for the 2011-12 season of the musical ‘Peter Pan’, which was shown across Bulgaria on television and in cinemas. He has performed for the Bulgarian Music Teachers’ Conference and Union of Bulgarian Composers, at the Bulgarian Allianz Bank and DSK Bank, the American Embassy in Bulgaria and on the French television channel ‘TV5 MONDE’.
Atanas has taken part in master-classes with many leading European pianists, most notably Tamara Poddybnaya, Ludmil Angelov and Professor Atanas Kurtev. He has recently commenced studies at Whitgift School in Croydon as an International Music Scholar where he is taught by Lachezar Stankov.
Dilyan Rumenov Todorov
Biography

Dilyan Todorov was born in 1997 in the town of Cherven Briag in northern Bulgaria. He began studying the piano aged seven and at the age of ten he was admitted to the esteemed ‘Pleven Pipkov’ National School of Arts in Pleven to study with Antoaneta Vodenicharova.
He has since competed in numerous competitions across Bulgaria, winning several top awards including first prizes in the 20th National Competition ‘Varban Vurbanov’ in Burgas (2010); the 5th National Competition ‘Diko Iliev’ in Vratsa (2011) and the National Piano and Violin Competition in Shumen (2013). He also regularly participates in master-classes with celebrated pianists including Plamena Mangova, Milena Mollova, Pavlin Neshev, Professor Marina Kapatsinskaya, Dora Deliyska and Henri Sigfridsson.
In September 2013 Dilyan was awarded an International Music Scholarship to study at Whitgift School in Croydon where he takes piano lessons with Lachezar Stankov.
In June of this year Dilyan will perform at The ‘Music Weeks in Sofia’ International Music Festival. This is a prestigious event that has in the past seen performances from the Vienna Philharmonic and Berlin Philharmonic Orchestras as well as internationally renowned soloists and chamber ensembles.
