“This is a story about the Proshek brothers. But not only – we tell the story of the entire atmosphere at the beginning of the 20th Century, when Bulgaria was an excellent place to invest and live in.
This is a story about hard working and enterprising people, no matter where they come from. And this is a story about the age-old relationship between western and eastern Europe.
This is also a story about memory, which we have told about in many of our movies; about its unsteadiness and contradiction. About the necessity to remember, because without memory there is no future.
This is a story about the antagonism toward fortune and the desire to confront it, while not losing yourself along the way.” – prof. Lyubomir Halatchev
