The Bulgarian Cultural institute London has the pleasure to invite you to the literary evening “Presentation of the Bulgarian writer Hristo Slavov”, on the 27-th of February 2020, at 7pm., at Sofia Gallery.

Hristo Georgiev Slavov was born on the 17-th of November 1955. He has graduated in Bulgarian philology at the University of Veliko Tarnovo St. Cyril and Methodius. He has worked as a journalist and cameraman at the daily press, editor and editor-in-chief at different publishing houses. He is a member of the Union of Bulgarian writers from the year of 1991. He is the author of the books – the story collection Earth gravity (1983) which has been awarded at the writers competition Juzna prolet (South spring competition) in Haskovo; short novels collection In the shadow of the summer (1987), short novels collection Escapes (1988) and of the novel Before the creation (1997). The novel Before the creation was translated and published in Greece, Macedonia, Serbia and has had two editions in Russia and Hungary. Hristo Slavov is also a writer of radio plays and of the TV-film Bridge. He has been the compiler and publisher of The Golden key to the Classic Bulgarian literature in 10 volumes including the literature in the period of the 9-th century till the 40-ies of the 20-th century. He has digitalized more than 25 000 pages of the Bulgarian Classic literature, included in the World virtual library of UNESCO. He has been the founder and publisher of three monthly editions specialized in economy and taxes. He is a passionate traveler and has visited more than 70 countries of the world.
