Synopsis:
The tragic story of the fate of the two lovers from Verona, brilliantly recreated 420 years ago in William Shakespeare’s masterpiece, becomes a symbol of the first great and impossible love. The enigma “Romeo and Juliet” comes to life with the same force in the ballet music of Sergei Prokofiev.
The performance of Ballet “Arabesque” Romeo and Juliet “a modern dance reading of the play, in which the author’s team led by choreographer Boryana Sechanova reflects on Shakespeare’s ideas about time and space, truth, knowledge, love, the place of man in the universe
The show raises the question of the good that brings evil and the price of inappropriate advice. How do we treat responsibility for our actions today? Has anything changed in human consciousness and behavior today? Can we comprehend and realize the regularities and generic features of the modern age?
Where does love remain today? Is this a temporary psychosis, wreaking havoc on oneself and others, a logical continuation of the unconscious premise “my soul is in the hands of another” or a great naivete?
