Online Premiere of the Festive Concert with the participation of the world-famous violinist Vesko Panteleev-Eschkenazy and The Pleven Philharmonic

Dear friends, we cordially invite you to celebrate together the 22^nd of September, Bulgaria’s Independence Day!

In those uncertain times when we are in social distance, we stand together and we are glad to invite you to the Online Premiere of the Festive Concert with the participation of the world-famous violinist Vesko Panteleev-Eschkenazy and The Pleven Philharmonic.

The concert is under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria. It will be broadcast simultaneously from the Bulgarian Cultural Institutes in 12 European capitals, on the 22nd of September 2020, at 19:00 CET.

The concert program includes the musical cycles “Four Seasons” by Antonio Vivaldi and “Four Seasons” by Astor Piazzolla. In the program the music of the two composers will alternate. The original of Piazzolla’s work was created for a tango quintet, but will sound in an arrangement for violin and string orchestra by Leonid Desyatnikov, which has short quotes from Vivaldi’s music.

The concert was part of the jubilee edition of the Summer Festival “Scene of the Centuries”, organized by the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo, on the open stage in the Palace in the fortress “Tsarevets”.
