Presentation of the work of Tanya Shahova and Assen Avramov
26.10.2018; 7 PM; “Sofia” Gallery
BCI London cordially invites you to the Presentation of the work of Tanya Shahova (writer; scriptwriter) and Assen Avramov (composer).
Actress and playwright Tanya Shahova is the author of radio plays, documentary scripts, theatrical plays and many other varied texts.
“It is very sweet to sit behind the stage, you create worlds instead of serve others,” she says.
Her book “One, Two, Three” (Black Flamingo Publishing House) is a collection of plays. “One” is a beautiful gesture to the poetry of Ahmatova, Mandelstam and Tsvetaeva. “Two” tells the story of the legendary rivalry between the two great Bulgarian poets – Elisaveta Bagryana and Dora Gabe. “Three” tells the story of grandmother, daughter and granddaughter who are folk singers traveling on a Boston tour. The first two plays are performed on stage.
The book “The German woman” is her first novel.
“The German woman” is a novel about love, in which the plot develops between the two wars. There is something we have not learned as a lesson. We could have been a part of Europe for a while, not to try to imitate Europeans. More important is what is written, not the injury which they have done with us while they have ruled us”, says Shahova.
Assen Avramov is an author of the music for more than 250 theater performances, numerous films, audio projects and other musical-stage works. He is also the author of a concert chamber, symphonic and vocal-instrumental music.
Recently it was the premiere of his newest ballet “The World of Alice” – a performance by the Plovdiv Opera.
Assen Avramov is a winner of many awards – our and international ones – diplomas and awards for his work.
In addition to audio recordings, he presents his work with video clips.
