In the year in which the comedy is first played in London-2009, it also premiered in Vilnius, Atlanta, Krakow, Manila and Sydney.
Quilter was born in Colchester but has been living for 15 years in the Canary Islands.
The Play Duets in Theatre 199 is directed by Vladimir Lyutskanov, with a stenography created by Petya Stoykova. All the roles are performed by Sylvia Lulcheva and Vladimir Penev. The two actors rapidly change drastically in the various, hungry for love characters.
Duets by Peter Quilter is a modern classic British comedy in the style of dramatists like Neil Simon and Willy Russell; however, it is also influenced by earlier theatrical traditions.
Short and sharp, the episodes of the play are compelling and rich, truthful and touching. They construct a magical puzzle. The play fills the spectators hearts not with bitterness, but with the sweet sensations caused by Cupids arrow.
